The holiest books of Hinduism are the Vedas.

The vedas, as I have mentioned before, are holy scriptures teaching how to woship and telling stories of gods. Text in the Rig Veda includes stories on the Sarasvati River. It is considered to be the origin of life. There is also an 200-verse epic called the Ramayana, which tells a story of Rama, banished to the wood for fourteen years.
